Competition Rules

September 9 & 10

General Info

1 – Event Date/Time: Saturday & Sunday September 9 & 10, 1 PM – 4 PM EST. Showtime 12:30pm-4:30pm
2 – This competition itself is limited to 3 hours of gameplay.
3 – The official time for the competition is Windows time. Participants must ensure that their system clock is synced with Windows servers.
4 – The competition starts at precisely 1 PM EST.
  – The start of the match will be announced at https://twitch.tv/Evasion_GG by the casters.
  – Battle Mods will let contestants know when to start.
 – Participants are not permitted to enter Soul Survivor until 1 PM EST.
5 – The participant list will be published on https://evasion.gg/ at a predetermined time and a broadcast will happen on Twitch.tv/Evasion_GG
6 – The official event Discord is https://discord.gg/evasion
7 – This is a solo event.
8 – This is a Soul Survivor only event.
9 – This competition is for PC only.
10 – Evasion reserves the right to select individual participants at their sole discretion.
11 – All participants must stream their gameplay on Twitch.tv or YouTube.com on their respective channels.
12 – Participants must have VODs turned ON and available (i.e., not deleted after the competition or behind a paywall).
 – Failure to have VODs available for officials to review can result in disqualification from the competition.
13 – Persons under eighteen (18) years of age are NOT permitted to compete.
14 – These rules are subject to change without notice.
15 – The latest version of the official rules will be located on https://evasion.gg/.

Cash Prizes

1 – The top ten (10) finishers will receive the following cash prizes.
   1st place $3,000
   2nd place $2,000
   3rd place $1,000
   4th place $ 750
   5th place $ 500
   6th place $ 400
   7th place $ 300
   8th place $ 200
   9th place $ 100
  10th place $ 50

2 – Evasion is not responsible for transfer fees associated with cash awards.
3 – In the event of a tie, the cash award for both placements will be split evenly between the participants.
4 – Participants must be at least eighteen (18) years old and legally eligible to receive cash awards for games of skill in their region, state, province, or country.

Rebroadcasting

Evasion will be rebroadcasting participants’ streams and commentating in an esports format on the participant’s gameplay. By signing up for this competition, participants are authorizing Evasion to rebroadcast their stream and comment on their gameplay during the competition and to use the broadcast footage and their VOD’s for Evasion’s social media and YouTube channels.

Gameplay

1 – Participants may only queue into US East, US West, EU, and Russia servers.
2 – Participants may not queue into bounty hunt matches during the competition.
3 – Participants are encouraged to hide their screens and server names on the stream while queueing.
4 – Participants are permitted and encouraged to take breaks.
5 – Participants can move any soul survivors they win to their regular hunter roster at any time during the competition.
6 – Alternate accounts are permitted. Account switching once an event has started is not permitted.
7 – Participants may use alternate Steam names or change their names on Steam during the competition.
8 – All weapons and weapon configurations are permitted.
9 – Battle Mods will assist players with questions and enter scores into the official score sheet.
10 – Only competitors & their Battle Mod will be in their voice channel during the event.
11 – Battle Mods may ask competitors to stream in Discord at any time.
12 – Officials may join the Discord voice channel in order to resolve any issues during the event.
13 – VOIP will be turned off for this competition.

Scoring

1 – How to Win: The participant with the highest total points at the end of the competition will be declared the winner.
2 – Participants shall receive 3 points for every hunter killed while holding the wellspring. 1 point for every hunter killed without the wellspring.
3 – Trades while the wellspring will be counted as 3 points. Trades with the wellspring holder will be counted as 1 point.
4 – If a participant withdraws from the competition at any time for any reason, their point total at the time they withdraw will remain their official score.
5 – Battle Mods may only report points between matches once the participant has exited a match and after they have shown their mission summary and team details screen on stream.
6 – If a participant disconnects, for any reason, intentionally or unintentionally, during a match, their kills must still be able to be verified on the Mission Summary/Team Summary screens from that run in order for them to count.
7 – The score entry system will be LOCKED AT EXACTLY 4 PM EST. No scores will be accepted after this time. There are no exceptions to this rule.
8 – In the case of score discrepancies or suspected score manipulation, competition officials will investigate after the competition is complete.
Participants found engaging in falsifying scores will be disqualified and banned from all future competitions.
9 – In a tie (i.e., two participants receiving the same score), the participant who played the lowest number of rounds will be declared the winner. If the participants have the same score and played the same number of rounds, they shall be declared tied and awarded the same official standing.
10 – The unofficial winners will be announced after the competition at 4 PM EST. The official winners will be announced no later than 24 hours after the completion of the competition. Competition results will be confirmed only when all competition results are secured and reviewed by Evasion officials.

Prohibited Conduct

1 – Participants are prohibited from engaging in unsporting conduct toward any other participants in the competition or other non-participating players they encounter before, after, or during the competition. Unsporting conduct includes, but is not limited to:
 a – Intentionally dying to manipulate the scoring system.
 b – Verbal or text harassment.
 c – Utilizing game mechanics to harass or unnecessarily impede other participants or non-participating players.
 d – Intentionally delaying the progress of other participants or non-participating players outside of regular competitive gameplay.
 e – Enlisting the help of others to delay other participants or non-participating players.
 f – Forming in-game alliances with other participants or non-participating players.
 g – Stream or queue sniping (Frequent incidental, unintentional matching is not a rule violation).
 h – Receiving in-game tactical information from their communities, other participants, or non-participating players (e.g., chats providing information from other streams, steam messages with in-game information from other players, etc.).
 i – Any other activities not listed here that result in an unfair advantage before, after, or during the competition.
 j – Users are prohibited from influencing or manipulating the video game, whether intentional or unintentional, to gain an unfair or otherwise relevant advantage as determined by Evasion officials. This includes but is not limited to: (i) Cheating in any form; (ii) abusing any bug or exploit; (iii) any violation of official tournament rules; (iii) use of 3rd party programs to manipulate scores or other relevant statistics. More examples of cheating include:
 k – Radar hacks, ESP, and/or Wallhacks
 l – Speed hacks
 m – Aim hacks
 n – Hitbox manipulation
 o – Editing of game files
 p – Use of macros
 q – Use or distribution of non-prescription, performance-enhancing drugs
 r – stat-manipulation or falsifying scores
 s – the malicious use of multiple game accounts while participating in Evasion sanctioned events
 t – account sharing (letting another User play on your account)
 u – using bugs or exploits to gain an unfair or otherwise relevant advantage over other Users
 v – any third-party software or tool that can reasonably give an unfair advantage and is not expressly allowed by the game’s original publisher. Examples of third-party software include, but are not limited to, sound filtering, sound compression, color filtering, color manipulation, or other rendering software.
 w – Any action to intentionally or unintentionally alter or attempt to alter the playing conditions or the results of any match or attempts to interfere with another User’s connection to the game service through Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) or any other means.
 x – Intentionally or unintentionally breaking any rules of the current competition. These rules shall be made available to each participant before the start of the competition, and it is the sole responsibility of the participant to read and thoroughly understand these rules.
 y – Any action, whether intentional or unintentional, that Evasion deems to give an unfair or otherwise relevant advantage to the participant or their team.

Evasion is committed to creating a competitive environment where everyone is treated with respect and dignity. Participants are prohibited from engaging in harassment or discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, or any other status or characteristic protected by law. Participants must always observe the highest standards of personal and professional integrity.
Violations for unprofessional or unethical behavior are at the sole determination of Evasion and may result in, but are not limited to, (i) suspension from current or future competitions; (ii) forfeiture of all winnings that the Participant may have been entitled to receive.
Evasion officials reserve the right to disqualify or ban any participants for violating any of the rules outlined herein or for any other reason at any time, as they deem, without explanation
